What is cPanel and why do i need it for my Virtual Server?

Most of the time when a customer comes to us asking for a Linux Virtual Server to host their PHP website, blog or other web application we recommend that they elect for the optional cPanel Control Panel system.  cPanel has become an industry standard hosting platform and assists the customer in many ways including setting up the server with apache, PHP and MYSQL.  It also provided email hosting services. The customer will have an easy to use control panel interface where they can control most aspects of the server.  cPanel also provide ongoing updates and support for the server which greatly improves stability and security of the system.  cPanel is a great tool for sys admins and novice users alike.
