Buying and selling of .au Domain Names

Buying and selling of an .au domains is allowed to another entity for any reason so long as the new entity meets the initial eligibility requirements for the domain, however there are also two additional eligibility requirements for the domain itself.

Firstly the Domain cannot be registered for the sole purpose of resale or transfer to a third party and lastly the domain cannot be transferred within the initial 6 months of registrations, this means you can transfer if the domains been recently transferred or renewed but you can’t if you have only just registered the domain in the last 6 months.

To transfer ownership of a domain name, you must complete a change of registrant application form and pay a $140 administration fee, which includes 2 years of domain licensing. Any remaining time left in the existing registration period is forfeited at the time of submission of the change of registrant application form. The form is available upon request from BurstNET support.
